Russian Fairy Tales. At Curved Seashore

CAST BRONZE. Ø 13 CM

“How wonderful are those fairy tales” – Alexander Pushkin, our great poet used to say. He took the well known folklore foundation and dipped it into the fanciful world of his own imagination.

Please, look at this surreal company. The mermaid – the girl who drowned, being a water creature, really, – stately made herself snug in the branches of a tree. A massive golden chain intertwined with the century-old oak tree, and a fat erudite cat, an advocate of the oral folk art, is strolling back and forth along this chain. When the cat is moving left – the cat is telling edificatory fairy tales, when the cat is moving right, the cat is signing popular songs, the right song to every time period.
